Increasing Social-Emotional Well-being in Schools

About the initiative

CounSEL in collaboration with GIPS is proud to announce an 8-month introductory course for educators on “Increasing Social-Emotional Well-being in Schools”.

“Social and emotional learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults understand and manage emotions, set and achieve positive goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain positive relationships, and make responsible decisions”

 – CASEL (Collaborative for Academic, Social and Emotional Learning)

We believe that in order to enhance students’ SEL, it is important to focus on teachers’ social-emotional well-being. The course program, thus, provides a transformative and enriching learning experience to empower participants to proactively impart social-emotional skills to increase the well-being of all students.
